Tickets are not required to visit Maymont's grounds, gardens, and farm. Daily hours are 10am – 5pm through March 8, 2026. The Robins Nature Center and Stone Barn Welcome Center are open Fri – Sun, 10am – 5pm. The Mansion and Virginia Wildlife Trail reopen this spring.

The Robins Nature Center, a 29,000-square-foot attraction, is the largest facility of its kind in central Virginia and holds close to 30,000 gallons of aquaria showcasing animals of the James River and Chesapeake Bay. Plus, meet Maymont's newest family members: two porcupettes! Free for members.

Explore the Italian Garden (self-guided) as well as some of the surrounding areas as envisioned by Sallie Dooley. The audio tour begins in the Stone Barn Welcome Center. Free for members.

Architecture Tour (audio)

Fridays-Sundays, 10am-5pm (last tour slot 3:30-4pm)

Explore the architectural design of a turn-of-the-century estate built on 100 acres of rolling hills overlooking the James River. The self-guided audio tour offers insight into the American Gilded Age, an era of rapid economic growth and technological advances, from 19th century gas lighting and horse power to 20th century electricity and automobiles. Free for members.

The Maymont Mansion is currently under renovation as a part of Maymont 2025 - a $11.75 million project to celebrate Maymont's 100th Anniversary. The mansion reopens on March 21, 2026.
