Maymont Names Erik Mauritsen as CFO & Vice President, Business Operations

 

Richmond, Virginia – Maymont has named Erik Mauritsen as Chief Financial Officer & Vice President of Business Operations. Reporting to Maymont President & CEO Parke Richeson, Mauritsen will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team and manage the areas of finance and accounting, human resources, and business operations.

In his new role, Mauritsen will work closely with the President & CEO and Board of Directors as well as the senior leadership team and other stakeholders to develop Maymont’s long-term strategic plan and align annual operating plans with strategic goals. He will be a key driver for developing new initiatives, spearheading efforts to strengthen organizational capabilities and improve core processes across operations. He will oversee the staff responsible for finance and accounting, human resources, risk management, and IT functions, as well as high-profile community events and facility rentals.

A seasoned CFO with over 20 years of financial management experience, Mauritsen’s recent roles include CFO of LifeSpire of Virginia and CFO and VP of Home & Community-Based Services for Covenant Woods, a not-for-profit retirement community. Before that, he was Assistant Controller for the Winston-Salem Industries for the Blind.

Mauritsen earned a Bachelor of Science in Business, with a major in accounting, from Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating cum laude.
