Get a Taste of Virginia at Maymont's Annual Beer & Wine Classic, Sept. 8

What’s better than enjoying a local craft beverage? Enjoying one among friends on the scenic lawn of one of Virginia’s most historic landmarks. Beer and wine lovers are invited to Maymont’s Carriage House Lawn for the annual Beer & Wine Classic, presented by the Dooley Noted Society. On Friday, September 8 from 7:00-10:30 p.m., participants will sip on some of Virginia’s finest beverages from 14 local breweries and wineries, all while enjoying delicious food, live music from The Whiskey Rebellion, a lawn game zone offered by CLUBWAKA Richmond and a prop-filled photo booth provided by Chris Vickers Photography, LLC.
Breweries and wineries on tap for this year’s event include Ardent Craft Ales, Ballast Point Brewing Company, Barboursville Vineyards, Bold Rock Cidery, Buskey Cider, Champion Brewing Company, Elk Island Winery, Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, Kindred Spirit Brewing, Midnight Brewery, Narmada Winery, Smartmouth Beer, Steam Bell Beer Works, and Stone Brewing Richmond. Food and dessert also will be available for purchase from select food trucks, including Bikini Panini, Continental Divide, Kona Ice of Richmond and Slideways Mobile Bistro.
Tickets to the event are $35 per person, $30 for Maymont Members and $15 for designated drivers, with all proceeds benefiting Maymont. Participants must be 21 years old or older to attend. Street parking is available near the Historic Estate Entrance located at 1700 Hampton Street in Richmond; premium parking in the Historic Estate Entrance parking lot is available for an additional fee. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Robins Nature & Visitor Center at 2201 Shields Lake Drive.
