Share Your Maymont Stories

In 1926, Maymont opened its gates as a public park and museum. With stunning views, gorgeous gardens and a mansion full of beautiful furnishings, Maymont immediately attracted Richmonders and visiting guests. Maymont has remained a favorite spot for generations to learn, explore and celebrate life’s biggest moments.

We are gathering as many Maymont Moments as possible, from 1926 to today, to help preserve and share the story of this special place. We invite you to be a part of our oral history campaign by sharing your memories of Maymont. The stories you share will become a part of Maymont’s archives and may be used for research, promotion or in support of the 100th Anniversary celebrations.

If you have been to Maymont in the past 100 years, we want to hear from you!
