Maymont Mansion FAQs
Enter Maymont through the Historical Estate Entrance at 1700 Hampton Street, Richmond, VA, 23220. Directions to the Historic Estate entrance can be found here. Once you enter the gates, follow the walkway straight to the Maymont Mansion. Tours will begin at the porte-cochère—please allow a few minutes to check in with a staff member. You will not need paper copies of your tickets.
Parking is available in the parking lots located at 1700 Hampton Street and 2201 Shields Lake Drive, Richmond, VA, 23220. Street parking is also available. Please note Maymont has three entrances. Directions to the Historical Estate Entrance can be found here.
Children ages 2 and under receive free admission, but they do need to have a ticket to enter. Ages 3-12 require reservation of a child ticket. Ages 13 and over require a reservation of an adult ticket. Maymont Members may use their membership ID to reserve free tickets.
Yes, Maymont Members can use their membership ID to reserve their free tour reservations. Because capacity is limited, it’s important to reserve your spot in advance.
Maymont Mansion is a well-preserved Gilded Age home that has limited accessibility to the main portion of the house. Baby/child strollers are not permitted due to space limitations.
