Music under the stars at Maymont – what a way to kick off summer! Pack a portable chair or picnic blanket and spread out on the spacious Carriage House Lawn and get ready to groove to timeless hits by Three Sheets to the Wind, America’s favorite Yacht Rock band. With plenty of open space for singing and dancing, let the band transport you to the 70s and 80s, after a rocking set by Tom Petty tribute band, Full Moon Fever.
Between sets, watch the sun set over the rolling hills of Maymont, and enjoy tasty food truck cuisine, plus beer, cider or wine, available for purchase during the concert. All proceeds benefit Maymont.
Things to bring: chairs, blankets, bug spray, small umbrellas and a reusable water bottle.
Things to leave at home: tents, coolers, outside food/beverages, pets, balloons, bikes & scooters.

Volunteer for just one shift at Summer Kickoff Concert to receive FREE entry for the show! Volunteers support ticket and drink sales, check-in, and bartending. Must be 21 years of age or older.

Full Moon Fever is a Tom Petty cover band that pays tribute to the iconic rock musician and his band, the Heartbreakers. The band is made up of experienced musicians who are dedicated to accurately recreating the sound and energy of Tom Petty’s music.
Full Moon Fever has earned a reputation as one of the best Tom Petty cover bands around. Playing hits from Petty's solo career and his time with the Heartbreakers, the band is known for its high-energy live shows and its ability to capture the spirit of Petty’s timeless music.
THREE SHEETS TO THE WIND

Unfamiliar with "yacht rock"? If you listened to the radio in the '70s and '80s, or classic pop in the '90s and 2000s, you already know most of these songs by heart. If not, prepare to be swept away by the irresistibly catchy, well-crafted tunes that were the party soundtrack of the era.

Food & Beverage
Plan to pick up dinner or a snack while you're here. A variety of options will be available from local food vendors, and a picnic area will be available under bistro lights. If you’re 21+, there will be craft beer, cider and wine.
Additional Information
Maymont’s grounds and gardens close to the public at 3pm on Friday for event setup. Concert admission begins at 5pm through the Historical Estate entrance at 1700 Hampton Street. The opening band starts at 6pm.
Event parking is available at the Hampton Street lot and The Robins Nature Center. Parking is limited and ridesharing is encouraged. The GRTC bus #78 stops a block away on Meadow Street at Pennsylvania Ave. The Farm entrance and parking lot will be closed for the event.
Guests are welcome to bring a small umbrella, chair, blanket and an empty refillable water bottle. No tents, coolers, dogs, or outside food/beverages allowed.
Event proceeds benefit Maymont. Ticket purchases are non-refundable, except in the case that Maymont cancels the event. This is a rain or shine event.
