Before Peggy Singlemann hangs up her Maymont pruning shears at the end of June, she will share some thoughts on what she’s learned in her 38 years of horticultural leadership at the historic property.

Join us for a walk down memory lane with the indomitable Director of Park Operations and Horticulture on Thursday, June 16, from 6–7pm at the Environmental Education Center & West Terrace of The Robins Nature Center. Peggy will provide insights into how she and a dedicated army of staff and volunteers have carefully researched and restored the historic gardens and arboretum, while expanding the native species, controlling invasive species and adding pollinator plants.

The talk will include a Q&A session and refreshments. The grounds will stay open an hour later than usual to allow guests to stroll the gardens and appreciate Peggy’s legacy in keeping Maymont looking its best.

Advance registration is required.
