Get into the spirit of the season at Maymont's Merry Market, featuring more than 75 talented local artisans offering one-of-a-kind handmade gifts in a festive setting. Sip on seasonal beverages and indulge in sweet treats while browsing goods crafted from wood, clay, yarn, leather, glass, metal and natural materials — you'll find something special for everyone on your gift list.

- Make your own crafts at the Holiday Helpers Craft Station
- Snap a pic in the holiday photo booth or by the vintage holiday sleigh
- Toast s’mores around a cozy fire pit

- Decorate an ornament with Goldfish Swim School (Sunday only)
Plus, your Merry Market admission includes entry to The Robins Nature Center, where you can see the new porcupettes and many other native wildlife of the James River ecosystem.
Online ticket purchase is recommended. Tickets are non-refundable. All event proceeds help Maymont care for its historic mansion, grounds and animals. Merry Market is a rain or shine event, except in case of severe weather. If you are unable to attend the event, please consider your ticket purchase as a donation.

Getting Here
All three entrances will be open for Merry Market admission both days. (Please note: the grounds will be closed to the public except for Merry Market attendees both days.)
Free parking is available by all three entrances: Hampton Street, The Robins Nature Center and Maymont Farm. Parking is limited and ridesharing or public transit are encouraged.
WHAT TO BRING
- Sneakers or closed-toe shoes
- Warm layers. The event takes place outdoors.
- Valid ID. Alcohol will be served only to those age 21 and older.
- A refillable water bottle
- A reusable shopping bag (or two!)
WHAT NOT TO BRING
- For the safety of our farm and wildlife animals, pets are not permitted on the Maymont grounds, with the exception of trained service dogs as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Please leave behind:
- Outside food and drinks
- Bikes, scooters or hoverboards
- Balloons
Additional Information
Merry Market is a rain or shine event, and tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, except in case that Maymont cancels the event. If you are unable to attend the event, please consider your ticket purchase as a donation.
The Maymont Mansion and Virginia Wildlife Trail are closed for a major enhancement project.
