Dominion Energy Family Easter
Saturday, April 8, 9am-3pm
Carriage House Lawn
(1700 Hampton Street)
Bring the whole family to Maymont for one of Richmond’s favorite spring traditions! This year’s “eggs-travaganza” is bigger than ever, spreading out across the Carriage House Lawn and beyond, all the way to the Maymont Mansion! Bring a picnic blanket, pick up tempting treats from local food trucks and make a day of it, with 100 acres to “eggs-plore.”
Enjoy games, fun activities and hands-on crafts, as well as live entertainment on 3 stages, including a Dance Zone with dress-up props and a live DJ from Bach to Rock spinning fun tunes. Snap a photo with the Easter Bunny and learn about pollinators at the Planting Station. Join in the Golden Egg Hunt presented by CoStar Group Builds, solving riddles to find the locations of 5 golden eggs hidden around the grounds, for a prize drawing. The Maymont Mansion and The Robins Nature Center will be open, too! Meet RVA’s local helpers and heroes, from firefighters and EMTs, utility workers and educators, to sports mascots and local nonprofits, in the newly expanded Community Zone.
Advance reservations are recommended, with two entry times, 9am-12pm or 12pm-3pm, to ensure there’s enough fun for everyone – and stay as long as you like! Admission includes 3 activity tickets, each of which earns an Easter egg or treat. Some will come with eggs-tra surprises, so bring an Easter basket to carry them all home! Entry is free for Maymont members and Museums for All participants.
Volunteers will support activities, crafts, registration, and entertainment.
Each admission ticket purchased includes 3 activity tickets! Children under 2 get in free.
