Bier-Garden
Friday, September 23, 6pm-10pm
Saturday, September 24, 11am-10pm
Carriage House Lawn
Toast the arrival of autumn at Maymont with Bier-Garden, a two-night Bavarian-style festival. Hoist a stein filled with authentic Paulaner bier, local craft beer or cider, while enjoying mouth-watering brats by The Mayor Meats, and schnitzel, sauerkraut, pretzels and more by Capital Ale House.
Revelers of all ages will find a festive outdoor scene amidst Maymont’s historic European-style buildings while enjoying live music, yard games, fire pits and more. Lederhosen and dirndls encouraged.
Kids are welcome, especially on Saturday, with their own crafts, games and entertainment in the Kinderzone from 11am – 6:30pm.
Guests attending Bier-Garden will enter through the historic Magnolia Gates at the north end of the Historic Estate parking lot. Parking is available in the Historic Estate parking lot (1700 Hampton St) and The Robins Nature Center parking lot (2201 Shields Lake Dr).
Tickets are non-refundable. Bier-Garden is a rain or shine event, except in case of severe weather. If you are unable to attend the event, please consider your ticket purchase as a donation.
Fun in the Festhaus (Friday & Saturday)
Grab a seat in the big Festhaus tent set with long, festival-style tables and a big stage. Entertainment in the big Festhaus tent features the Pay Rent Brass Band on Friday night; polka from The Original Elbe Musikanten German Band on Saturday with a German dance troupe Hirschjäger Bavarian Dancers (Saturday, 1-8pm) performing; and local ensemble Dalton Dash on Saturday night.
